Transportation

Hello from the Transportation Department

We wanted to share with you some information on ways to contact us should your child need to change their transportation or if they are not riding for the day. You can :

Call         989-268-5255  ext. 4150  and leave a message before 6:00 a.m.

We have upgraded our routing system and you will soon be able to see your child’s bus and what time it will be arriving at your home. Please be sure to provide your email address to the Elementary or High School office in order to have access to the system.

School bus lights are like traffic signals. When overhead lights are flashing yellow: Prepare to stop. When overhead lights are flashing red: Stop. When hazard warning lights are flashing: Proceed with caution. School bus safety tips. Prepare to stop when a slowing bus has its overhead yellow lights flashing. Stop at least 20 feet away from buses when red lights are flashing unless driving in the opposite direction on a divided highway. Proceed with caution around a stopped school bus with hazard lights flashing. Slow down in or near school and residential areas. Look for clues such as safety patrols, crossing guards, bicycles, and playgrounds that indicate children might be in the area. Watch for children between parked cars and other objects. Use additional caution in bad weather. School buses can now be equipped with cameras, and police can use those images to issue tickets to drivers who pass illegally.
